Volunteers are needed from 7:30am until approximately 1-2pm (hopefully not so long if we can have everything taken away by those coming to get things!).

8-9:30am, by special invitation only. Names will be taken at the door to be sure you are on the list that we have received.
9:30-10:30am members of the Lakeside Stake and Friends/Neighbors by Special Invitation.
10:30 - 11:30am there is a general invitation to anyone else that would like to attend - we will need to close and put a hard stop to everything at 12 noon.
*If you are interested in planning and putting an event like this on in your own Stake or area, we would be happy to share with you some information and ways to get going....so that your own stake could be the first to come and benefit from the rewards of your work as well. We apologize for those that may not think that this is a fair way to handle the numbers that will be interested, however we have a very great need in our own area to address and help out with. We want to share with all we can...we also hope this event spurs others to start similar events in other areas!
**If you wish to volunteer at any time during the 2 day window, please email giftsoftheheartexchange.provo@gmail.com and let us know your name, email, and what time(s) you can help. Anytime, Friday from 9-12noon (set-up), or 5-9pm (taking in donations) and Saturday from 7:30 - 1/2pm (keeping things flowing, organized, and helping take down and clean-up).
There are so many volunteers that we need to keep this event going and running smoothly! Any and all help you are able to give is greatly appreciated. For those that volunteer time we will be in touch with you about a special time set aside just for volunteers, you do have to committe to help out for this.
We hope that you are able to clean out and go through all your things and help by bringing in items that you no longer use, need, or want any longer. Please remember....ALL ITEMS need to be be GENTLY USED/in VERY GOOD CONDITION! If you won't use it because it has holes, or is broken...please don't bring it! However, sets such as kitchen dishware or silverware that might be missing a few pieces are wonderful to receive as donations and will find new homes easily!
DONATIONS should be NO LARGER than a microwave or TV set. Small lamps, small kitchen appliances and household items are acceptable, as well as any clothing, shoes, accessories, children's toys and appropriate media (books, tapes, DVD's, music, etc)...we are holding this event in a church building and use LDS standards to deem if things are appropriate to put out. Please don't donate anything that is not in accordance with LDS living and policies...if in doubt follow the guidelines of the 13th Article of Faith...is it virtuous, lovely, or of good report? If not, then please keep it home or throw it out...some trash is not other people's treasures!
If you have a larger item that you would like to donate, please email giftsoftheheartexchange.provo@gmail.com and let us know what the item is, as much descriptive information as possible, a contact name and number, and we will post it at the GOTHE for everyone to see, and you will hopefully receive a taker that can come and pick it up directly from you...easier on everyone this way so that we can be sure that the donations are all picked up from the church withing the time frame on Saturday morning.
